I’m in my late twenties now, and it’s become clear that I’m not a fan of anything that feels like too much of a fuss - whether it’s the way I cook, travel, making plans, or just getting dressed in the morning. When it comes to daily rituals, it’s the same: low-fuss. That said, I’m naturally curious, so I do like to try new things. I also love to learn about all the ways I can better myself to feel optimal - therefore I want to try it all. I’m constantly reminding myself to strip it back and keep things simple. I’ve tried yoga at sunrise, yoga before bed, no caffeine, journaled, meditated, breath work, cold showers, cold plunges, gratitude lists, a large handful of supplements, oil pulling, morning pages, and even the full 10-step skincare routine… the lot. More than anything, I believe in the power of consistency, so I try to do things today that I can see myself still doing years from now. Let’s just say that many of those things I’ve tried above haven’t stuck! And if something doesn’t stick, I let it go and move forward without judgment. Maybe I’ll come back to it later - but for now, I focus on what works.
